Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes feature some impressive updates. The result should be a more cushioned and spring-like experience. 

Underfoot Feel

The most noticeable change to the latest edition is a Mizuno Enerzy nxt heel wedge. This nitrogen-infused foam delivers amazing energy return and cushioning - meaning softer landings.

Like the previous version, the top layer of foam of the Mizuno Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes feature Mizuno Enerzy cushioning. This is a soft foam that boasts great rebound qualities.

Mizuno's signature Wave Plate enhances propulsion and energy return from the midsole. However, as the sides of the Wave Plate are raised, the structure also enhances support. 

It's worth noting the Wave Plate has a heel cut out - which ensures soft landings.

Upper Fit

The Mizuno Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes' upper is made with a jacquard air mesh. Flexible PU Print reinforcement adds structure to the upper and offers support for your feet. There's also a sculpted tongue to improve comfort.

Ideal Run Type

Some running shoes are best suited to a specific type of effort. That's not the case with the Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 28 Running Shoes.

The highly-cushioned and propulsive midsole should perform across a range of paces. As a result, these could work well for slower paced runs, and steadier efforts. This is a particularly beneficial quality if you like to mix the pace of your runs from day to day.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
